“Man is born free; and everywhere he is in chains. One thinks himself the master of others, and still remains a greater slave than they.”
- Rousseau

We once talked about whether one should be Socrates dissatisfied, or a pig satisfied.  And we talked about that again, and again.  I once asked what's next when one has fulfilled his ideal.  Guess after all there can just be as many struggles, as ideals.  Yet if there has to be someone who is always right, HF does appear to be one; albeit we have always finished last.  But if thought corrupts language, language can also corrupt thought.  As such, reason can be necessary, despite not being sufficient.  Still, we might as well recall how Friedrich contends that, that which doesn't kill us makes us stronger.

Boy, did that ever kill us.
